Erik’s career spans over 20 years in technology, focusing on AI, information search, retrieval, and knowledge discovery. He has held senior executive roles at major global corporations, including Comcast, Elsevier, Microsoft, and Tricon Infotech. At Comcast, he led the development of a billion-scale video intelligence platform handling over 1 billion daily interactions.
At Elsevier, as Vice President of Product Management, he led the creation of ScopusAI, an AI-based discovery platform that changed how academic research is conducted. At Microsoft, he served as Product Manager for Enterprise Search, defining strategic priorities for search products. At Tricon Infotech, as Chief AI Officer, he developed AI strategies and solutions to improve business decision-making and operational efficiency.
Erik began his career after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Trinity College-Hartford in 1994. His early roles included managing technical resources at PTFS and leading product management at Convera. He joined FAST Search & Transfer as Director of Product Management and transitioned to Microsoft, following its acquisition of FAST.
