Nik Gupta is a successful, commercially astute senior executive with over 21 years of experience, having held pivotal CPTO/CTO roles at industry giants such as Amazon, Citi, Printful, and THG. Nik has delivered more than half a billion in commercial impact through his ability to build and scale enterprise digital products that drive substantial growth. 
 

From patented AI solutions to global platform rollouts, he has consistently launched innovations that have enhanced customer acquisition, reduced operational costs, and generated new revenue streams. His ability to build autonomous, cross-functional teams has been central to driving results across both B2B and B2C business models.
 

Currently, Nik serves as the Interim Chief Technology Officer at Velsera, a leading biotech company focusing on precision medicine, especially targeting cancer. In this role, he is executing a global workforce strategy, transitioning the engineering culture towards a product-led, engineering-driven model, and modernising their platforms with AI. Nik works closely with the CPO, CCO, and CEO to align the organisation with commercial goals and modernise their product stack into an AI-driven, customer-oriented SaaS offering.
 

As the founder of vi8 Pvt. Ltd., Nik conceptualised, designed, and developed two globally recognised products: TMO and Almo, which provide bi-directional connectivity between Team Foundation Services (TFS) or Azure DevOps and Outlook. These products have gained traction worldwide, with clients such as Microsoft, Toyota, Shell, and the European Investment Bank using them to improve their workflows. His focus on innovation and creating products that solve real-world problems has been a hallmark of his career.
 

Nik's leadership experience includes his tenure as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Printful, where he led a global cross-functional team of 200 professionals across engineering, product, AI, information security, and IT. At THG, Nik served as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing a 400-strong, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. He managed the end-to-end Omnichannel Commerce Platform (Ingenuity), which powered global multinational businesses generating a combined GMV of approximately £2.4 billion.
 

Nik led the development of new GenAI-based functionalities, spearheaded product and tech strategy, and built a unified product office that delivered additional sales through platform capabilities.

 

Nik’s experience also includes leading engineering teams at Amazon, where he managed four major programmes for Amazon Prime Video. He was responsible for customer retention features, global transactions across Prime Video products, and the delivery of cross-product promotional capabilities. His leadership in technical innovation at Amazon included launching a new product in the Indian market, a significant undertaking in terms of compliance and regulatory challenges.


Earlier in his career, Nik was involved in the development of market-leading software solutions at RateGain, where he led a team of 116 people in transforming the hotel business with machine learning technologies and platform-as-a-service architecture on Microsoft Azure. His efforts resulted in improved developer productivity, real-time data delivery, and a significant enhancement of software quality.
