Gioia Verena Vavricka is an experienced executive with a diverse background across the sports, technology, and finance sectors. Her career spans elite athletics, strategic leadership in global sports organisations, and high-impact roles in innovation, investment, and industrial development.
Gioia began her professional journey as a competitive tennis player and ski racer, later transitioning into coaching, including as a ski race coach in the United States. She has worked with globally recognised sports organisations and agencies, contributing to major international events such as the Ski World Cups, FIFA World Cups, UFC, FIA, Freeride World Tour, and Audi Motorsport.
At FIFA, Gioia held a pivotal role within the Football Technology & Innovation Division, where she managed the Football Quality Programme, co-founded the FIFA Innovation Programme, and initiated FIFA’s first Technical Advisory Group. She later transitioned into a commercial role, where she was responsible for developing new commercial structures for FIFA’s assets, pioneering real-time football analytics, and launching an original football talk format.
Beyond FIFA, Gioia served as Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Secretary for technology-driven start-ups, managing high-profile shareholder relationships, including strategic investors such as Alibaba, Porsche Investments, and several prominent sovereign wealth funds.
Today, she is the Founder & CEO of three companies based in Zurich, Kuwait, and Dubai, focused on: Sports technology and investment advisory, Strategic industrial projects aligned with national economic transformation agenda and the Development of large-scale ventures in sectors such as clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and critical infrastructure
