Esther Galfalvi is a researcher and coordinator focused on decentralisation, DAOs (Decentralised Autonomous Organisations), and AI ethics. She holds a PhD from the University of Derby, where she studied young people's awareness and attitudes towards digital platforms as part of the online gig economy. 

 

Esther's research is deeply rooted in AI ethics and decentralised coordination, particularly within DAOs and distributed leadership structures. She is currently working as the Decentralisation Program Lead at SingularityNET, where she is responsible for overseeing decentralisation initiatives and collaborating on projects related to decentralised organisations both on and off blockchain technologies.
 

At SingularityNET, she has also worked as an event coordinator, where she led projects in the areas of decentralisation and governance. Additionally, she collaborated with SingularityNET as a researcher, designing and producing a report on decentralised organisations. Her research involved examining the current literature on DAOs, cooperatives, and self-management structures. 

 

She also has extensive experience as a freelance careers adviser, providing one-to-one coaching and guidance to adults and young people in London. 

 

Additionally, Esther served as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Derby, where she contributed to the MA Careers Education and Development programme by designing and delivering presentations and assessing students’ career development skills.
